Reach Soulbound Threshold and finish the ritual

To reach Soulbound Threshold in Risk of Rain 2: Hallowed Concepts, carry enough N’tormat Pages, pray at a Shrine of Descent before activating the teleporter, finish the extended event and enter its Ritual Portal. The shrine generally locks the ordinary teleporter exit for that stage.

Before you pray

Hallowed Concepts must be enabled. Page eligibility is checked when a stage loads, before its teleporter event. Collecting the missing Page after arriving does not guarantee a shrine appears on that stage. The launch behavior supports standard runs and Eclipse; do not assume an artifact or modded ruleset behaves identically.

These unusually steep multiplayer requirements are the observed launch rule, not a promise that every later patch will preserve it. Consumed Pages count toward the requirement; shredded Pages do not. See Shrine of Descent before committing a multiplayer run.

Reach the Ritual Portal

1. Find the shrine before activating the teleporter. The major trial route must not already have been used this run.
2. Pray at the Shrine of Descent. This changes the coming teleporter event.
3. Activate the teleporter and survive its extended charge, displayed as 667% rather than the ordinary 100%, with an additional boss.
4. After completion, look around the teleporter for the Ritual Portal. It can appear roughly 10–40 metres away; it is not necessarily directly beside the device.
5. Enter the portal to travel to Soulbound Threshold.

Exit commitment: the ordinary teleporter is generally locked after praying. Conduit Canyon has an exception, and other available portals can provide alternate exits. Do not choose the shrine expecting both a normal exit and a consequence-free extra route.

Complete the timed ritual

Follow the orb and the active dome through the ritual space; the screenshot identifies the stage, rather than marking a fixed challenge position.

Interact with the Altar of N’kuhana and choose Begin the ritual. The ritual begins with a base timer of 210 seconds. Four challenges add 65 seconds each when completed. Follow the orb to identify the active dome, enter it and complete its current objective. The fog outside the active space is dangerous. If the timer expires, the run can end despite revival effects; do not rely on a revival item to ignore the deadline.

After the challenge sequence, defeat both phases of the Anima Harvester. If Acolyte is your goal, revive her and donate an item before leaving.

Finish at the altar, then choose your exit

Interact with the orb at the altar using Beseech. This completes the ritual, improves the shrine reward and disables the stage’s catastrophes. It also matters for the optional door interaction.
